Senior DevOps Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in AWS, Azure, and Aurora. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building and maintaining scalable, high-performance infrastructure to support our growing suite of applications. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing our deployment processes, ensuring system reliability, and driving continuous improvement across our technology stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Automation & Configuration: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Database Administration: Manage and optimize MySQL and Aurora databases, including performance tuning, backups, and recovery strategies.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Implement and oversee monitoring solutions to ensure system health and performance. Identify and resolve issues proactively to minimize downtime and impact on operations.
  • Methodology: Previous experience with ClickOps / Click Operations and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures to ensure clarity and consistency across the team.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure that all systems adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements, implementing necessary controls and monitoring for vulnerabilities.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a DevOps role with a strong background in managing AWS and Azure environments.
  • Technical Skills: Proven expertise with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) and Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, Azure SQL, App Services). Solid experience with MySQL and Aurora database management.
  • Scripting Languages: Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or similar.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
