Pay: $160,000.00 – $190,000.00 per year

We’re looking for a Program Director to oversee the entire organization’s digital transformation projects for our customer, the world-leading organization in the Tax Service Industry.

In this pivotal role, you will work closely with various business units to drive transformative initiatives. You will collaborate with the C-Suite to facilitate significant business growth, manage a diverse range of programs varying in scope and budget, and engage with teams across multiple locations and time zones. This position provides a high level of visibility and influence within Senior Leadership.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product Management and Business Stakeholders to understand priorities and business value. Set strategic goals and objectives for programs and refine as required.
  • Establish a program release plan that outlines the product roadmap scope, dependencies, budget, and milestones dates for each product development team.
  • Establish the program team structure and resource plan. Work with project teams to ensure resources are onboarded effectively.
  • Establish modern software product development practices/tools.
  • Establish effective communication and common synchronization events across program teams to monitor program schedules and make corrections when necessary.
  • Track program status and provide regular updates to leadership and executive team.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on the creation of business value, product quality, and time to market.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks.
  • Resolve issues and dependencies between program teams and other internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Enterprise Architecture and Engineering leadership to ensure program teams adopt the architectural vision and evolve based on product development.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven track record as a successful program director managing programs greater than $5m
  • Experience managing multiple teams with complex dependencies
  • Knowledge of current program management methods. Ideal candidates will have Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP) or similar certifications in SAFe such as Release Train Engineer (RTE)
  • Experience managing staff and budgets
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills
